How do I create my first floor plan?

Sign in, create a new project from the dashboard, and start drawing rooms by clicking points on the canvas. Close a shape to form a room — area and perimeter are calculated automatically.

Can I start from a template?

Yes. Use the floor shape wizard to start from a square, rectangle, or L-shaped template, then drag edges to refine the outline.

What export formats are available?

TinyFloorPlan supports PNG (raster image), PDF (print to scale), DXF (CAD interchange), and SVG (vector graphics). All exports are saved to your export history.

Can I collaborate with others on a plan?

Yes. Open the share dialog, add members by username with Owner, Editor, or Viewer roles, or generate a share link with optional expiration.

Are my plans saved automatically?

Yes. Every change is autosaved to the cloud. Floor snapshots provide version history so you can roll back to any previous state.

How do text labels work?

Select the label tool, click on the canvas, and type your callout. You can edit the text, size, and color later from the Plan insights panel.

What units does the editor support?

Both metric (meters, centimeters) and imperial (feet, inches). Switch between them in the editor settings.

Can I reuse rooms and symbols across projects?

Yes. Save custom symbol sets and room templates to your personal library. Import them into any project.
